Dollhouse [extreme awesomeness]

Posted in nerdlette, this is fucking america! by nerdlette on 21 June 2008

Joss Whedon is back on the block with a new show on Fox this fall. i am prepared to develop a new obsession.

Dollhouse tells the story of Echo, a young woman who has erased her personality to be imprinted with a completely new one each week. Just like Sex in the City can be read as 4 sides of the same woman, Dollhouse seems to suggest Whedon’s hit the nail on the head again in his portrayal of a complicated female character. As one of the commentators suggests, Echo is a perfect metaphor for every woman today.

In other words, for the girl to have it all she needs to be it all–even if that means being ten different people everyday. I can’t fucking wait!

Random question: for someone who writes women so well, does he sleep with them? any sense of if he has romantic relations with men/women either/neither?

He’s definitely got a wife, Kai Cole, who is almost exactly who you’d think would marry him–last photo I saw of her, she looked like Jenny Calendar with dyed hair and a girl-cut baseball tee.

Yep. Joss got married to 1994.

    They have a kid, too.
